Grace Rhoads, recipient of a Ph. D. from Bryn Mawr College in 1933, was a world-travelling activist for the causes of children's relief and education, peace and international goodwill. She was associated with the American Friends Service Committee for Freundschaftsheim, a community founded by Pastor Wilhelm Mensching in Böeckburg, Germany.
